HLA class I-restricted cytotoxic T-cell epitopes of the respiratory syncytial virus fusion protein.

Virus-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) play a major role in the clearance of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection. We have generated cytotoxic T-cell clones (TCC) from two infants who had just recovered from severe RSV infection. These TCC were functionally characterized and used to identify HLA class I (B57 and C12)-restricted CTL epitopes of RSV.

Generation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes against native and altered peptides of human leukocyte antigen-A*0201 restricted epitopes from the human epithelial cell adhesion molecule.

A growing number of human tumor antigens have been described that can be recognized by CTLs in a MHC class I restricted fashion. The epithelial cell adhesion molecule (Ep-CAM) is expressed in a variety of human tumors and has attracted attention as a therapeutic target for monoclonal antibody serotherapy. We have identified immunogenic peptides derived from Ep-CAM, that bind to human leukocyte ...

Priming MHC-I-restricted cytotoxic T lymphocyte responses to exogenous hepatitis B surface antigen is CD4+ T cell dependent.

MHC-I (Ld)-restricted, S28-39-specific CTL responses are efficiently primed in H-2d BALB/c mice injected with low doses of native hepatitis B surface Ag (HBsAg) lipoprotein particles without adjuvants. Priming of this CTL response by exogenous HBsAg required CD4+ T cell "help" and IL-12: this CTL response could be neither induced in mice depleted of CD4+ T cells by in vivo Ab treatment, nor in ...
